McCartney tickets sell out after opening for sale to general public

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Rock and Roll Hall of Fame star Paul McCartney will play in Buffalo in October to an excited, sold out crowd in the First Niagara Center.

Lines crept out of the First Niagara Center’s box office on Monday morning after tickets went on sale to the general public. Soon after, signs popped up notifying the public of a sold out concert.

The general public only got their hands on tickets after American Express cardholders had a first crack at it online on Aug. 27. Officials, including a host of Erie County leaders gathered last Tuesday to announce McCartney’s Buffalo concert debut on Oct. 22 in the First Niagara Center.
