Two arrested at Rath Building for drugs and stolen debit cards

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A disturbance at the Erie County’s Rath Building forced Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies to arrest two locals on Friday.

Police say they responded to an altercation between two people and when they responded deputies separated them. While investigating, police say they found illegal items on both Kayla Fuentes, a 20-year-old Tonawanda woman, and David Rederick, a 54-year-old Buffalo man.

Deputies say Fuentes had stolen debit cards and drugs on her person and Rederick allegedly had drugs, including Xanax pills, on his person.

Each stands charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, but Fuentes is also facing charges for the stolen debit card.

Both Fuentes and Rederick will return to court at a later date. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
