Bulls fans to plan to “blue out” UB Stadium at season opener

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – College football is back in Buffalo! The UB Bulls open up their season against Albany on Saturday afternoon at UB Stadium. The game starts at 3:30, but there is a concert and tailgate party starting at noon. It’s a blue out, so fans are encouraged to wear their favorite blue Bulls gear!

The Buffalo Zoo is a great place to visit over a long weekend. Saturday is Zooper Saturday. There will be keeper talks and bonus activities between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.. Monday, admission is just a dollar for the holiday. The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Western New Yorkers will walk to raise awareness for organ donation Saturday. The annual Donate Life walk starts at 11 a.m. in Delaware Park. It’s to support UNTYS, and honor those who have given or received the gift of an organ or blood donation. Registration starts at 10 a.m.

You can make the most of the three day weekend by celebrating in Clarence. The Labor Day Fair goes from Saturday through Monday at the Clarence Fire Hall. There will be rides, games, and live music, plus demolition derbies tomorrow and Sunday at 5 p.m.

Just because it’s a holiday weekend doesn’t mean you can’t fit a workout in. Stop by Canalside for the final weekend of their free fitness classes. Visit www.canalsidebuffalo.com for the schedule. Blue Cross Blue Shield has sponsored the program all summer long.
