Local arrested on felony DWI, pot charges

FREDONIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — During a traffic stop over unsafe driving, police say they arrested a man on felony charges of DWI.

Police say they witnessed 25-year-old Damien Haseley move from lanes in an unsafe manner before driving outside of painted lines. Troopers pulled him over and began questioning him when they say he reeked of marijuana and booze.

During a sobriety test, police say he failed and faced arrest thereafter. While processing him, police say they found marijuana on his person.

Haseley faces charges of felony DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana. He’ll return to court at a later date.
