NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Niagara Falls family is looking for answers about the murder of Fajri Hilson.
The 31-year-old was killed outside of Max’s Lounge on Highland Avenue on Aug. 22.
His mother is still in shock that her only son is gone. “I miss his smile. I miss his laughter,” Sheila Hilson said. “I miss my son.”
Loved ones have created a makeshift memorial for Hilson across the street from the lounge. While News 4 was there family members came to the site to light candle and drop off mementos.
Hilson’s family has also put up signs throughout Niagara Falls. They’re asking for anyone with information about his death to come forward and call 716-940-7666. There’s a $2,500 reward for a tip that leads to an arrest.
“There were about 100 people (at the scene). We want somebody to come forward and just tell us what happened. Tell the police what happened. We just want justice. We can’t rest and I know that my brother can’t rest until we have justice,” Akeyla Vincent, Hilson’s sister said.
Hilson’s family will hold a march on Wednesday, September 9 at 11a.m. They’ll walk from outside of Max’s Lounge to City Hall. They’re calling for justice for Hilson.
If you know anything about this case, you’re also asked to contact Niagara Falls Police at (716) 286-4553 or (716) 286-4711.
