TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police were out in force Friday morning on Blackmore Street, just up the road from where a man was fatally shot Sunday night. However, Town of Tonawanda Police have now confirmed for News 4 that the raid was unrelated to that crime.

Police say they were conducting a drug raid, which netted one arrest Friday morning.

The home where the drug raid occurred happened to be up the road from the scene of Sunday’s fatal shooting by coincidence only.

Late Sunday night, 34-year-old Anthony Stallworth was shot and killed as he was walking down Blackmore with another man. The other man was not hurt in the shooting.

Police say they are still actively investigating that homicide.

They tell News 4 they seized crack cocaine from Honeycutt’s home Friday morning.
