Taste of Niagara takes over Old Falls Street

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – The inaugural Taste of Niagara Falls kicked off on Old Falls Street Saturday.

More than 25 local restaurants came out to participate in the event and to showcase their culinary expertise.

“Niagara Falls has some of the most famous restaurants and cuisine that Western New York has to offer and visitors may experience all of them at this one event,” said Corey McGowan, festival organizer. He noted long-time local favorites such as Fortuna’s, Viola’s, Buzzy’s and Scipione’s are already on board along with newer area restaurants such as La Galera, Carmine’s, Rainforest Cafe, Soliday’s and more.

The family-friendly food festival will run through Sunday.
