Preview of Music is Art

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Goo Goo Dolls bassist and Music is Art founder, Robby Takac, is reaching out to the public to promote his 13th annual Music is Art Festival.

Music is Art is a local non-profit that aims to explore music’s impact on the western New York community and culture. The festival will get its start on Saturday at Delaware Park from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. More than 100 bands will perform throughout the park, along with dance groups and other live entertainment.

The Goo Goo Dolls will even hold a special concert at the festival. Takac announced the special performance, explaining he felt it was the right time to hit the stage.

“The city is happening now and it was just time to do it again,” Takac said.

The group will take the main stage at Music is Art on Saturday night. The concert is free and open to the public.
