CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Assemblywoman Angela Wozniak has been accused by a staffer of sexual harassment and retaliation.
The claims have been made by a male former staffer who worked for her this year. She was made aware of the complaint by the Assembly Ethics Committee which is now looking into the allegations. The Committee has also brought in a NY City Law professor as an independent investigator in the case.
Wozniak is 28-years old and was elected last fall to serve the 143rd Assembly District, encompassing most of Cheektowaga. She replaced Dennis Gabryszak who stepped down from the position after himself being accused of sexual harassment.
“I find it hard to believe that any credible complaint could be made against this Assemblywoman to be intimidating or harassing.” said Cohen. “She is a formidable legislator. She fights for her constituents but she is not a bully by any way, shape or form and certainly has no history whatsoever of any kind of unethical conduct.”
Cohen added, “Once we clear her good name, we will turn our attention to bringing her accuser to justice. There are consequences for bringing malicious, false allegations.”
