Contractor accused of ripping off elderly man in bathroom remodel

MIDDLEPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 40-year-old contractor from Lockport is facing charges several months after he allegedly swindled an elderly man out of thousands of dollars.

State police arrested Vincent E. Brege, of Affordable Contracting, Wednesday after they say he was hired to remodel a bathroom back in January.

Brege is accused of accepting more than $3,000 as a down payment, but was never seen again. Police released Brege after arraigning him on felony grand larceny charges.
