Man dies in shooting at RV lot of Ralph Wilson Stadium

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man died in a shooting Saturday night in the RV lot of Ralph Wilson Stadium; police do not suspect foul play.

Several callers reported the shooting around 10:20 p.m., according to police. They say officers worked quickly to try and revive the man but they could not. Police do not believe anyone other than the victim was involved in the shooting.

Many people were in the lot or in RVs or campers in anticipation of Sunday’s Bills home opener against the Indianapolis Colts.61EF3E86505A4B25A53FF7103F6254B7

The police chief says the incident should not affect Sunday’s Bills game. “This is an isolated incident. We normally wouldn’t even talk about this. I mean, things like this happen with people but just because there were multiple witnesses, multiple reports, we’re trying to address this as quickly as we can,” said Mark Pacholec, Police Chief, Orchard Park.

The department is in contact with Bills officials about whether any rules should cover people having guns in the RV lot, added Pacholec.
