Bicycle stolen from 92-year-old World War II vet

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police are investigating the theft of a bike that belonged to a 92-year-old WWII veteran.

Mario Farina says he was preparing to take it out for one final ride before selling it. He bought the Schwinn bike back in 1980 and rode it twice before he hung it in his garage where it stayed until Wednesday.

Farina says he finished cleaning it, took some pics and went in his house to eat dinner.

When he came back, it was gone.

Police are urging anyone with information about the crime to come forward.
