Hinsdale man accused of driving car into girlfriend’s occupied camper

OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 51-year-old man is facing several charges after state troopers in Olean responded to a domestic dispute complaint.

Responding officers say a woman told them that she had been in altercation with her boyfriend, identified as David Goldsmith, and that he damaged her car.

According to police, Goldsmith, of Hinsdale, returned to the scene following the initial report and drove his vehicle into his girlfriend’s camper, which had three other people inside. In addition to her car and camper, he also damaged her mailbox.

Goldsmith is charged with three counts of criminal mischief and four counts of reckless endangerment.
