Sabres fans get a chance to choose goal song for upcoming season

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — For fans who will flock to the First Niagara Center to watch the Buffalo Sabres take the ice this season, they’ll have an extra bit of control over what music they celebrate to after goals.

The Buffalo Sabres are in the final stages of selecting a new goal celebration song, and they’re asking for help from fans to select the music. The competition started with eight songs, and the public helped pare it down to two selections.

Still up for selection are, “Let Me Clear My Throat” and “Swords of a Thousand Men.”

Although players and coaching staff also get their say in the selection, the public vote will be weighted.

Voting ends Thursday at Noon. To vote on the song selection, click here
