Student assaulted early Thursday morning on UB campus

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Another incident at a public university in Buffalo has officers on the hunt for the suspect behind an assault.

University at Buffalo officials say three people were playing Frisbee on the school’s south campus when a stranger approached them at about 1:35 a.m. The stranger played Frisbee with them for a short time and then attacked one of the three people, punching a victim in the face and rifling through the victim’s wallet.

The students described the assailant as a roughly 20-year-old black male with dark skin. He reportedly wore black sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
