Wanted PA man arrested in NY, is charged with impersonation

HANOVER, N.Y. (WIVB) — While interviewing a person who New York State Police pulled over for not wearing a seat belt, officers say they learned he was wanted in Pennsylvania.

Police say while first interviewing the man, he told them his name was Darian King, but police found a driver’s license on his person that said otherwise. New York State Troopers then arrested Samuel Wayne for lying to officers.

While continuing their investigation, officers say they realized police in Pennsylvania wanted Wayne on an outstanding warrant. Officers charged Wayne with second degree criminal impersonation and fugitive from justice.

Following Wayne’s arraignment, police placed him in jail on no bail until he can be extradited back to Pennsylvania.
