Bills vs. Bengals: 4 Things to Watch For

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – They’re the type of team you have to beat if you want to get to the playoffs. That’s what Rex Ryan had to say about his team’s Week 6 opponent. Here are four things to watch for as the Bills host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park:

  • #1: Banged Up Bills – Will any of the injured players be back on the field? Quarterback Tyrod Taylor says his knee is good to go, but there’s still a chance EJ Manual will start in his place. Things are looking good for Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins to return. Running Back LeSean McCoy was not expected to see game action this week, but an Instagram post hinting at a “countdown” now has fans thinking otherwise. But don’t expect to see  fellow running back Karlos Williams, who is going through concussion protocol, suit up.
  • #2: “Yes Sir” – Will the team’s new wristbands make a return? Rex Ryan passed them out last week to remind his players not get mouthy with officials. The team reduced their penalty count to 10, down from 17 the week before.
  • #3: Coming in Hot: The Bengals are off to a 5-0 start. Quarterback Andy Dalton led his team to a fourth quarter comeback and an overtime win over Seattle last week. Now the Bills will look to hand them their first loss of the season.
  • #4: British Sendoff: This is the last time we will see the Bills at home until next month. Next week’s game against the Jaguars takes place in London, England. They will fly out directly after Sunday’s game. The following week is a bye. The Bills return home on Sunday, November 8th for a rematch with Miami. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
