S.W.A.T. team breaks into apartment, make drug arrests

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — As part of an ongoing drug investigation, Police executed a search warrant Friday morning on W. 4th Street in Jamestown and arrested two residents on drug charges.

A combined effort by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, New York State Police CNET, Jamestown Police S.W.A.T. team and inside investigators led to the arrests of Steven Edmund, 27, and Lorilynn Moriarty, 20.

During the arrests, investigators say they found a quantity of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Edmund and Moriarty were both charged with 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and 3rd degree criminal using drug paraphernalia.

The two await arraignment while being held in the city jail.

Additional charges are expected as investigation continues.
