Lexington Co-op raises enough funds to open second location

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Lexington Co-op has reached a new milestone.

Over 400 members have helped to raise the $2 million dollars needed to open it’s second location on Hertel Ave.

The Co-op announced that is successfully reached its capital campaign goal, which means that the Hertel location will be opening in 2016. The lease was signed in February to open a new store at the old CVS building on Hertel.

The general manager says neighbors have been asking for a North Buffalo location for upwards of 20 years.
