Local organization that’s helped hundreds needs new location

APPLETON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A local organization dedicated to helping those in need, may have to temporarily shut down its operations.

Denise Noble runs the Pay It Forward Charitable Organization of Western New York.

For nearly 30 years, she has provided clothes, food, bedding, school supplies, hygiene products, and Christmas Toys to hundreds of people in need. However, she has until the end of October to find a new facility.

The owner of the building, who donates the space, is shutting down for the winter season to save money.

Just the thought of having to close is tough for Noble. Through the tears she said, “It would be very hard because I would feel like I was letting community people down. To me at this point. I’m not even thinking about this being an option. We have to find a facility, because the people need us out here.”

Noble says people near Appleton in Niagara County need a place to turn to that’s near them.

“This is vital for the rural communities. Anyone who’s north of the 104 in any rural community, we service” Noble said.

She and her volunteers are hoping someone will come forward with a location she can operate out of.
