Police make meth arrest in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Officers on patrol made a meth arrest in Jamestown on Wednesday after stopping a car that seemed to have an erratic driver.

Police in Jamestown say they stopped David R. Bailey, a 35-year-old Sinclairville man, after he allegedly drove erratically past an officer. While investigating Bailey, officers say they found a nylon bag under the seat that had more than seven grams of crystal meth inside.

Bailey now faces charges of third and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Following his arraignment, police brought Bailey to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Bailey will return to court in Jamestown at a later date.
