NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A new 84-unit housing development is nearly completed in Niagara Falls that will offer affordable housing to a growing population in the Cataract City.
Developers cut the ribbon on part of the Cornerstone Communities Townhomes on Ninth Street on Thursday, unveiling the latest edition to that up and coming neighborhood.
“Right now, there are 42 occupied units, and when finishing the construction in the next few months, we’ll have 42 new homes available for people in this ever-expanding neighborhood with a community center, health center across the street,” Linda Goodman, of Norstar Development, said. “It’s a great place to raise your children in the city.”
The townhouses are part of a Governor Cuomo push to create 14,000 affordable new homes in New York State.
