Wellsville man faces eight criminal counts for stolen rifles

WELLSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Wellsville man is accused of possessing stolen rifles following a criminal investigation.

Donald Deschler, 57, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.

He faces eight criminal counts altogether.

Police say Deschler had three stolen rifles and two other rifles in his possession, leading to his arrest after having been convicted of a serious offence in the past.

Following arraignment, Deschler was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $20,000 bail.

He’ll appear in court next month.
