Video captures moment MTA bus crashes through Nashville coffee shop

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Surveillance video shows the terrifying moment a Nashville MTA bus slammed through a Nashville coffee shop’s storefront on Wednesday.

The video was posted to YouTube by Cumberland Transit, an outdoors store at West End and 28th avenues that neighbors Three Brothers Coffee, where the crash happened.

According to Metro police, the driver of the bus reported mechanical issues prior to the accident.

The driver had already stopped and gotten the passengers off when it rolled on it’s own, turned, and crashed into the coffee shop.
