Sex offender arrested, charged with four felonies

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man already convicted of being a level two sex offender is facing four additional felonies after a Wednesday incident.

Officers with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office say they arrested Randy Sanders, 47, after he appeared at the Erie County Medical Center and refused to update his photo, verify his address and other requirements of his conviction.

Police say the incident led to four felony charges, and during his arrest police found a glass pipe with what they believe is crack cocaine residue on it, also warranting drug charges.

Sanders is in the Erie County Holding Center as he awaits arraignment. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
