Rochester man stopped in Albion with stolen car

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) — Plate readers tipped off New York State Police that a car in traffic was stolen, prompting officers to investigate a Rochester man.

Police say they stopped Xavier Lowry to learn he drove a stolen car. While investigating Lowry, they say they found marijuana in the stolen car.

Lowry faces several charges, including possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana.
