2016 Coats for Kids kicks off

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The annual Coats for Kids campaign is underway at Colvin Cleaners on Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore and Capital Cleaners on Main Street in Niagara Falls.

Organizers have been collecting gently used coats for months to help those who can’t afford a coat before the winter season. The goal is keeping families warm throughout the winter season.

“All they have to do is bring their benefit card for whoever needs a coat,” Paul Pillon, of Colvin Cleaners, said. “They can get coats, hats gloves, scarves.”

The giveaway takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
