Niagara Falls man arrested after attempted robbery

TOWN OF CAMBRIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Deputies with the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Niagara Falls man after they say he attempted to rob an acquaintance.

Robert Cox, 25, allegedly threatened the person with a handgun in an attempt to gain money from him on Thursday night.

Cox is charged with felony attempted robbery and menacing.

He was arraigned with bail set at $5,000.
