Boxing belts stolen from Canastota museum

CANASTOTA, N.Y. (WIVB) –  Six championship boxing belts are missing, stolen from the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, N.Y.

Police say they are investigating a break-in they believe happened on Thursday, November 5.

Three display cases were broken into and six belts taken.

Four of the belts belong to former Rochester resident Carmen Basilio.  The others belonged to Tony Zale.
