Man jailed on $50,000 bail after alleged car chase through Niagara County

WILSON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man was arrested after Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies say they chased him through various towns in the county Monday evening.

Deputies say they witnessed Adam Linton, 45, driving erratically and without headlights in Sanborn.

When deputies tried to pull Linton over, he fled northbound and continued through the towns of Wheatfield, Lewiston, Cambria and Wilson.

Linton’s vehicle eventually crashed into a guard rail at the intersection of North Beebe Road and Lake Road.

He and a deputy were treated for minor injuries at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane and released from the facility.

Linton is charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest and various other vehicle and traffic violations.

His bail was set at $50,000 following arraignment in Wilson Town Court. He will reappear in court at a later date.
