ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan appeared at Tuesday’s press conference not just in his usual hat — but in a helmet — a Clemson University helmet.

ESPN.com reports Ryan’s son as a player for Clemson. During the conference, Rex spoke about his recent decision to make Ik Enemkpali a captain in Thursday’s game against the New York Jets.

The captain decision “was never a thing of disrespect” according to Rex in a tweet sent out by the Buffalo Bills.

Rex believes LeSean McCoy will play in Thursday’s game, according to the Buffalo Bills, but he is unsure “how significant his role will be.”

The Bills will debut their new red uniforms in the upcoming game as part of their ‘Seeing Red’ campaign. This will be the first time the team wears red uniforms in their 56-year history.

The uniforms are designed by Nike.

A number of Buffalo landmarks will be lighting their buildings red on Thursday as part of the initiative. Examples of these are the Peace Bridge and the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

Channel 4 will be broadcasting the game live Thursday at 8:25 p.m.
