30 dogs removed from Rushford home amid animal cruelty investigation

RUSHFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Police arrested two Rushford residents on charges related to animal cruelty after removing more than 30 animals from a home.

State Police say Jeffrey Fleming, 57, and Margaret Craig, 76, are accused of injuring, neglecting and not providing appropriate shelter to numerous animals.

Among the animals removed from the residence were 30 dogs, one rabbit, one bird and one rodent.
