Ted’s Hot Dogs opens its Buffalo location

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A business that has operated for more than 90 years, employing over 300 people, is operating once again in the Queen City.

Ted’s Hot Dogs returned to Buffalo with its most recent location that opened on Monday. Although it had mostly the same menu, the new location has state of the art kitchen tools to help with food prep.

The Chippewa Street location is the first brick and mortar Ted’s location in Buffalo since 1998, and the new location will bring new food, too. Ted’s owners say they’ll have deep fried pickles, Mac-N-Cheese, sweet potato fries and other surprises.

The very first Ted’s Hot Dog was sold in 1927 near the foot of the Peace Bridge. The business has since expanded to include nine local locations and a food truck.
