Thousands gather to get a new view of Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Thousands of people gathered to the top of City Hall in downtown Buffalo to get a view of the city. They came out for “Take Another Look” – an event offering locals and out of towners a chance to do just that.

This is the second year the city partnered up with local organizations and establishments to hold this event at City Hall. They opened up the observation deck and offered tours.

Organizers say they expected around 2,000 people total; that goal was exceeded within the first fifteen minutes.

The organizers specifically chose this weekend – following Thanksgiving – as they anticipated many Buffalo natives who may have moved away would be back in town.

“There have been so many great things that have been happening here in the last few years,” said Courtney Ball, the event organizer for Take Another Look. “The entire idea of this is that – where is a better way to look at the things that have changed in Buffalo than the top of city hall?.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
