Florida woman accused of sexual battery against baby

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) — A Zephyrhills woman is accused in a disturbing sexual battery case involving an infant.

Investigators with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office say Katherine Grace Rice, 31, made a video that showed her performing a lewd act with a 1-to-2-month-old baby.

A probable cause affidavit said that someone reported receiving the video on Facebook and identified the person in the video as Katherine Rice. Deputies say they spoke with Rice’s husband, who allegedly told them he was aware of the video and his wife had texted him the video in May of 2015.

The affidavit said that Katherine Rice admitted to recording the video on her tablet in April or May of 2015. The infant was born in April of 2015.

Rice was arrested and charged with sexual battery involving a victim under 12 years of age and sexual performance by a child.

She is being held in the Pasco County Jail with bond set at $60,000.
