BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — On Tuesday, golfers in Erie County will see a rare treat. They’ll be golfing well past the average golf season.
Tuesday marks the first day of December, and at courses in Erie County, golfers will be able to still take advantage of fall discounts. Erie County offers two courses, at Elma Meadows and Grover Cleveland, where golfers can play 18 holes and use a cart for $20.
“Outdoor fun in December does not usually involve golf, so these extended fall special rates are a gift to all Erie County golfers to enjoy,” Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said.
Those courses will remain open until weather takes a turn. The lack of snow hasn’t just benefited golfers, however. Stores in one of WNY’s most snowy locations report solid economic gains.
