Jamestown PD find loaded gun in car; two men charged

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Jamestown Police charged two people with criminal possession of a weapon after receiving a call for suspicious activity on E. 2nd St. Wednesday afternoon.

Police say they saw two people sitting in a vehicle around the 700 block of the street. The two men then left the vehicle in an alleged attempt to escape police.

One of the men, Terrance Hubbard, 29, was found near the vehicle while the other man, Chris L. Jones, 32, ran from the scene but was captured a short distance away, according to police.

While searching the vehicle, officers say they found a loaded 9mm pistol, leading to the weapon charges against both men.

Authorities say the city’s Public Safety Camera system helped them in the arrest.
