Three-alarm fire engulfs home in Hamburg

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) — Fire crews responded to the scene of a three-alarm fire on Columbia Street near Camp Road and Southwestern Boulevard in Hamburg Monday morning.

Authorities say the fire started in a garage around 5:40 a.m., burned a truck and spread to the house. Firefighters say the house was fully in flames when they arrived. What caused the fire is not yet known.

One person was inside the house at the time of the fire and no one was hurt, according to officials.

Traffic was blocked on Columbia Street and diverted at Camp Road.

A GoFundMe fundraiser page has been set up to help the family involved in the fire. It can be found here.
