SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (AP) — In the latest briefing by law enforcement, FBI officials said their investigation into the mass shooting in San Bernardino has reached a massive scale.

In the attack, which officials said was carried out by Syed Farooq and his wife last week, 14 people died in a hail of gunfire and 21 people suffered injury in the attack and subsequent events.

Police now say they’ve conducted 400 interviews and have collected hundreds of pieces of evidence into the attack that is being investigated as a terror attack.

As part of the investigation, police say they have learned the suspected shooters had been radicalized for some time, however they did not know how they became radicalized.

The FBI also said the shooters participated in target practice before the shooting, in preparation for the attack.

Officials say the investigation is very much ongoing and they will continue to pore through evidence.
