State Police: Hunters arrested for illegal gun possession

TOWN OF MIDDLEBURY, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two men found hunting on state land in the Town of Middlebury were charged with 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to law enforcement officials.

New York State Police say Crown Point resident Clayton Fuller, 39, and Eli LaRock III, 37, of Ticonderoga were each previously convicted of a felony, which bars them from owning firearms.

State Police say the men had firearms on them while hunting off Bank Road.

Along with the criminal possession charges, each are also accused of violating conservation laws.
