Honey’s reopens after brief shutdown

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Honey’s Restaurant on Maple Road in Amherst reopened Friday afternoon after briefly being shut down by the State Department of Taxation and Finance.

The State shut the restaurant down on Thursday, saying it owed them $43,000 in back sales taxes. The State reached an agreement with the owner Friday.

During this time, the Honey’s on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls remained open.
