Two people escape a house fire on Buffalo’s west side

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two people are safe Friday morning, after a fire ripped through their home on Buffalo’s west side.

Firefighters were called to a house on Normal Avenue around 3:15 a.m.

No one was hurt.

The fire caused $170,000 in damages.

The Red Cross is assisting the two home owners.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
