Buffalo police chief’s strong response to neighbors

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Buffalo police chief Anthony Barba made a clear promise to one neighbor who voiced his concerns about what many call out of control off campus parties near Buffalo State College.

People met tonight and told stories of houses packed with hundreds of kids, windows rattling and people jumping on police cars when the cops responded.

One woman showed part of a video she took.

Chief Barba responded like this when he heard one man complain he felt threatened by the parties. “If those kids ever come to your f%$#@*& house again you call me personally and I will have a car there within five seconds. That is appalling that they came to your house, and threatened your wife in my district, and I’ll tell you if I’m working I’ll be there so fast, it will make their heads spin,” said Chief Barba.

Chief Barba says he will do more but doesn’t have the manpower on the weekends especially to respond with enough people to control the parties.

People living near the University at Buffalo have made similar complaints.
