Police locate missing Alzheimer’s patient

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police searching for a missing Alzheimer’s patient in New York say they found him Wayne County.

John P. Lane, 85, reportedly left a party on Wednesday around 2 p.m. and did not return home. Police originally said Lane was seen at the Country Club of Buffalo in Williamsville, however they say he was spotted at 9 a.m. Thursday at a gas station in Oswego.

Officers located him later Thursday after receiving the updated information in Wayne County. New York State Police say he was located safe and sound.

Police thanked the public for their help in locating the man.
