Cheektowaga driver killed in Wednesday night crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a Cheektowaga man.

Police say a driver was turning onto East End when he struck a fire hydrant and then a utility pole around 9:45 Wednesday night.

The 46-year-old man killed in the accident has not yet been identified and the cause of his death is unclear. He was pronounced dead after being taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Cheektowaga.
