Is Tyrod Taylor the long-term answer?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Tyrod Taylor started the preseason locked up in a quarterback battle with EJ Manuel and Matt Cassel. He won the starting job and has put together a pretty impressive 1st season as a starter, but has he done enough to convince the organization that he is the long-term solution at quarterback.

Taylor was asked about his future in Buffalo, but he said he’s too focused to consider the future.

“That’s not really my concern right now. I just go out there and play, and my focus is on trying to win games, and let management and whoever handles that worry about that. But right now my focus is on the Redskins,” Taylor said.

His teammates are convinced by what they’ve seen. Sammy Watkins praised Taylor.

“That’s what it’s about. Being comfortable with one guy and i think we found him. He’s a great leader on this team,” Watkins said.
