ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a third man has been charged in the fatal shooting of three people and wounding of four others outside a Rochester youth center last summer.
Officials announced Monday that 18-year-old Michael Mathis has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and six counts of second-degree murder in the Aug. 19 shooting in front of the Boys & Girls Club on Genesee Street.
Johnny Blackshell and Jalen Everett also face murder charges in the case. Police say they believe all three men were in a car when it drove by a crowd leaving a basketball game and opened fire.
It’s unclear if Mathis has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
