Cheektowaga man shot in Buffalo on Kermit Avenue in broad daylight

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Cheektowaga man is recovering in the hospital after police say he suffered a gunshot wound in Buffalo.

Police responded to the first block of Kermit Avenue after receiving reports of shots fired. When they arrived to the scene at 2 p.m.,  they called for medical response, as a 29-year-old man from Cheektowaga was shot.

First responders rushed the man to the Erie County Medical Center and set up a perimeter to investigate the shooting.
