Renaissance Bridge to close on New Year’s Eve

CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — City of Tonawanda Police have announced that the Renaissance Bridge connecting the city with North Tonawanda will briefly close on New Year’s Eve.

The bridge will be closed to traffic starting at 10:30 p.m. and will be closed to pedestrians starting at 11:30 p.m. The bridge is being shut down for the Twin Cities Ball Drop and fireworks. Police also say Young Street between Delaware Street and Main Street will close at 10:30 p.m.

The bridge and streets will reopen when the event is over.
