BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Bills appear to like what they have in their front office, not only choosing to retain GM Doug Whaley but now giving him a multi-year contract extension.
Whaley has served as general manager since May 2013.
“We are pleased to announce a multi-year contract extension with our General Manager Doug Whaley,” said Owner Terry Pegula. “Doug has demonstrated an excellent eye for talent and has been an asset to the organization on many levels. I look forward to working closely with Doug and Coach Ryan for many years to come.”
Whaley has been responsible for numerous successful roster moves, from the Kiko Alonso-for-LeSean McCoy trade, to signing Tyrod Taylor, to drafting Ronald Darby and more. He also signed Jerry Hughes and Marcell Dareus to contract extensions, keeping them in Buffalo long term.
